• Photos of your meals (processed by AI and stored securely)
• Your FODMAP sensitivity profile and preferences
• Symptom tracking data (type, severity, timing)
• SIBO-related health information if you choose to provide it

Usage Data

We automatically collect certain information about your device and how you interact with the app, including device type, operating system, app version, and feature usage patterns.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

• Provide AI-powered meal analysis and FODMAP recommendations
• Build and improve your personalized FODMAP sensitivity profile
• Track and analyze symptom patterns over time
• Send push notifications (symptom reminders, if enabled)
• Process subscription payments through RevenueCat
• Improve our app and develop new features
• Respond to your support requests

4. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services to operate FODMAPSnap:

• Firebase (Google) - Authentication, database storage, and cloud functions
• OpenAI - AI-powered meal analysis using GPT-4 Vision. Meal photos are sent to OpenAI's API for processing but are not stored by OpenAI for training.
• RevenueCat - Subscription and payment processing
• Expo - Push notification delivery

Each of these services has their own privacy policy governing their use of data.

5. Data Storage & Security

Your data is stored securely using Firebase Cloud Firestore with encryption at rest and in transit. Meal photos are stored in Firebase Cloud Storage with restricted access.

We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your personal information. However, no method of electronic storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

6. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have certain rights regarding your personal data:
